Ruggeroni

This idea started about a year ago together with Stijn van Eeckhoutte in order to expand my love for pepperoni pizza.

I grew up in a country (Iran) that’s very famous for its rugs in the world. I wanted to express myself through a different material, but it was important for me to stay close to myself.

We took a photo of a pepperoni pizza at our pizzeria and send this to a century old family run rug manufacturing business in India.

They have the experience of 6 generations and a history of exporting carpets throughout the world. It felt good to collaborate together with them and make this beautiful piece.
